PROJECT BRIEF

The Fort Worth Zoo’s CARES program supports conservation and research initiatives for endangered species. While Asian and African elephants will serve as the program’s flagship ambassadors, the initiative will also include amphibians, reptiles, and other vulnerable species across the Zoo’s collection. The goal is to build a visual identity that reflects the program’s diversity, longevity, and ongoing evolution.
SOLUTION
This visual direction communicates strength, compassion, and biodiversity. It incorporates elements of science, the elephant motif (echoing the FWZ logo), and a snake form to represent the broader range of species the center will research. Together, these elements position CARES as a collaborative, evolving conservation initiative focused on protecting wildlife. While this logo was not the chosen concept we decided to go without an icon, and a more simple route for cost saving. This logo best showcases the amazing work this facility will do.
